How to use ChatGPT to plan your bills
ChatGPT can plan a month with you, but only from what it can see. Connected to Figa, it sees the plan you already keep.
From guesses to your real plan
Ask ChatGPT what next month will cost and, on its own, it can only ask you for a list. Paste one in and the answer is only as good as your memory that day.
With Figa connected, ChatGPT reads every recurring bill in its month, the estimates for variable ones, installments and what is already paid. It plans from that, and with write access it can change the plan with you, so the next chat starts from the current state.

Estimates, explained
Variable bills such as gas or electricity carry an estimate until the invoice arrives. Figa makes it with the method you picked: the last confirmed amount, a three-bill average, seasonal history or a manual amount. ChatGPT can read which method a bill uses and what it is based on, and explain it in plain words.
Confirming an invoice adds a real amount to the history. It does not change the method, so the next estimate follows the same rule with better data.
Changes, with a preview
Connect with Read only first: every question above that only reads works without changing anything. Switch to Read & write for the workspaces where you want ChatGPT to help keep bills current.
For a change, say how far it reaches: one occurrence, this and future ones, or the whole series. Pausing or ending a recurring bill is previewed before it applies, and ChatGPT can show you the preview before you confirm.
About developer mode
Developer mode lets ChatGPT use apps you add yourself by URL. Figa is added this way, not from the app directory. Where the setting lives has changed between ChatGPT versions, so OpenAI’s help article is the place to check the current path.

Does Figa work with ChatGPT?

Can ChatGPT change my bills?
Only with a Read & write connection, and only in the workspaces you chose. Pausing or ending a series is previewed before it applies.
Does ChatGPT see my bank account?
No. Figa has no bank connection and never moves money. ChatGPT sees the workspaces you connect and the files you upload.
How do I disconnect ChatGPT?
Remove the app in ChatGPT, or revoke the connection in your Figa workspace settings under API & MCP. A connection also lasts at most 30 days before you reconnect.
